Sacred Standards

In a world where everything seems to change, God’s Word remains unwavering. When Jesus declared, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them” (Matthew 5:17), He wasn’t dismissing the past—He was defining its purpose.

The Law wasn’t a burden to be broken but a bridge to be built—a divine design pointing to God’s holiness and our need for a Savior.

Fulfilled, Not Forgotten: Christ’s Completion of the Covenant

Jesus didn’t discard the law; He demonstrated its depth. He lived out its righteousness perfectly, showing that grace doesn’t erase truth—it empowers us to live it.

  • The Law revealed our sin; Christ redeemed us from it.

  • The Prophets foretold the promise; Jesus fulfilled it in full.

  • The commandments called for righteousness; Christ became our righteousness.

Standing on Sacred Ground

To follow Jesus is to honor what He completed. The moral truths of Scripture still shape our steps—not as chains that bind us, but as a compass that directs us toward Christlike character. Love fulfills the law; when we love God and others, we naturally walk in His will, reflecting His heart in our daily lives. Grace strengthens obedience, reminding us that we don’t strive alone— the Spirit empowers us to live righteously. Truth stands forever, unmoved by culture’s shifting tides, because God’s Word remains unshaken. His commands are not outdated relics but living principles that guide us toward holiness and purpose. Jesus didn’t lower the standard; He lifted us into grace that enables us to live it. He calls us to a life of joyful obedience, not out of obligation, but out of a transformed heart that desires to honor Him. Today, we walk not in legalism but in love, led by the Spirit and living in the truth that never fades.

He fulfilled it. We follow Him. The Word remains.
